Most of us think of squirrels as cute and furry little critters and they were the favourite animals for many of us growing up as children. This is no wonder as they look incredibly soft and furry, have sweet little faces and are capable of some astounding agile behaviour. The real problems begin though when they start dying and this will leave you with a selection of squirrel corpses in your loft. Of course this is then highly pungent and unhygienic, but it will also attract flys which will lay eggs in the squirrels' bodies.

Then when these eggs hatch you will find you have maggots and the thought of thousands of maggots swarming inside a dead corpse over your head is of course really not a nice one. In some horrendous instances these maggots can then travel and begin to fall through your ceiling where you have fittings in the lights and into your food, your bed and your hair. If these should hatch before they fall through then you can end up with swarms of flies throughout your home spreading disease across your food. Yes then, squirrels are lovely animals, but only from a distance and squirrel removal is certainly a necessity.
